Arrggh! So many layers and layer effects!! Anyways. I bring you this.
This was one of those rare cases where a sketch I made was used as the final draft. Now, this is after a TON of cleaning and editing and I still could have done a better job -- the scan I worked with was really tiny, but only because I had trouble redrawing it to the same "effect" I pulled off in the sketch, so decided to work with it.
TIME: 15 hours? Hardest part: Settling on the colour of the piece -- I wanted night, but still colourful Best part: making it "glow"
May still make changes....zzzzz EDIT: Made Changes. REDUX.

EDIT 2: A big thanks to UK's NEO Magazine for allowing me a page in their issue 101 "Tales of" feature. I was so damn happy about it!
One thing I could take from this picture is that the star Brave Vesperia could be symbolic of her relationship with Yuri and the rest of the guild, but more Yuri specifically. Yuri was always like a big guiding "star" for Estelle, when Estelle was confused about her powers and her sudden label as "poison" It was Yuri who comforted her and gave her the resolve to push forward and look for Pharaoh. When Alexei kidnapped her and she was "lost somewhere" Yuri was the "ringing bell/ guiding star" that brought her back. I might be looking WAY too deep into it but that's what I got from your drawing.
